About Me
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Georgia Tech H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, working with Prof. Oktay Günlük and Prof. Santanu Dey. I will be joining the University of Texas at Austin as an Assistant Professor in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering in Fall 2026. I received my Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the University of California, Berkeley, under the guidance of Prof. Alper Atamtürk. Before that, I earned both my B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering at Seoul National University.
Research Interests
My research goals center on developing strong formulations and efficient solution approaches for mixed-integer optimization problems, particularly by exploiting special problem structures. Key areas of interest include:- Convexification of mixed-integer convex optimization
- Tractable distributed MIP algorithms
- Applications in statistical learning and control optimization
- Combined framework of optimization and machine learning
- Optimization under uncertainty
